Miracles happen?!

It was a usual house warming ceremony. The pooja was over. The bhajan and keerthana session started. I was black-mailed and forced to attend this event. Not that i dont like those people .Its that just i cant sit through those never-ending bhajan sessions which is a must for the family that hosted the house-warming.This family,i am talking about,is an all-time believer of sai baba.
In the midst of that symphony(not for me),my grand-aunt got up from her place, may be to drink water or something. She went inside the kitchen next to the living room that connects the dining area, and suddenly we all heard her shouting my uncle's name.Everybody panicked wondering what had happened.Everybody ran to the dining room.I was experiencing a mix of emotions thinking about unnecessary catastrophic events that could have happened. When i went there what i saw was a photograph of baba and my grand-aunt looking at it with a smile on her face.I looked at my dad.He was also smiling.I just gestured him and asked him as to what had happened. He slowly pointed his finger to the bottom of the photo.I saw a heap of "VIBHOOTHI" powder and a few idols of baba on the floor obviously wondering where they had come from. When i looked carefully at the hanging photograph i saw white powder falling from the back of it.It was then that i understood the Whole picture.
The idols along with "VIBHOOTHI" powder were falling from there till midnight.
At first,i dint buy this whole story though it was happening right in front of my eyes.My grand-mom checked that wall, behind of the wall, the photo, who ,like me, dint believe what was happening.

Till date, i cannot understand the science behind it,if there was any.I have to accept that it was indeed a miracle. And i have.
There are certain things in this world which just cant be explained. The existence of us being without any proof proves this fact.I just wanted to share this episode knowing that some people might just think of it as a cooked-up bundle.I am sure many will.
But the fact is
Miracles do happen!

Engineering or Medicine?

Why not a lawyer or an artist?
Why not a Finance analyst or a teacher?
What about being a statistician?
Why not being a transcriptionist?

Do people know about these careers et al.

Recently i met my cousin, passed his tenth with flying colours .My obvious question was "what are your future plans?".Pat came the reply-I want to be a jounalist.i was so glad to hear that.My maternal aunt overhearing the conversation interrupted "What journalism?!!Thats so risky and unstable.Think about money also. Why dont you take up engineering? It will be a cakewalk for you".It is so frustrating to hear that kinda suggestion. Why dont people let others be?
A week ago my best friend got a job ,the job which she calls it as her dream job.She did her degree in Economics-statistics-maths,her subjects of interest. And i choose to clarify here. She had an amazing percentage in 12th and an equally good rank in CET.She chose her career out of her interest and iam extremely happy to see where is today.Doing wat she always wanted to do.She is working in an international bank as a finance analyst and the pay packet,i must say is too much for a starter. My point is why does everybody have to follow the same path just because you have been told to do so even though you are not meant to.
I know so many people who have been forced to choose engineering and medicine just because of parental pressure or some other obvious reason.I am sure many will not agree with me.Its just that these two popular fields are not the end.It is the challenge that matters and ultimately the job satisfaction.

Iam back (with happiness)

A month has gone by and let me clarify that i was truly busy with a lot of things. From internals to co-ordinating tech fest to partly conducting farewell, handling a lot of treasure and wat not?? a hectic semester, must say.
Obviously in this course of time i have discovered and learnt a lot about my self..my strenghts ,my weaknesses etc etc .Not that i dint know about them. Its jus that i proved them to myself :)
ok now
On a mark get, set, go!
Life is beautiful.Who says it is not?It is happiness that defines good things in life.To stay happy is the key to success. so the question that always enthralls in everybody's mind is how to stay happy?
Not everybody has what he wants in life.In fact human life is such that nothing can satisfy them.Happiness comes to those who are contented with whatever one has?and if this is the case then no one's happy
So does this mean there are very few people in this world who are truly happy!
So what exactly is the state of happiness

Is it getting watever u want?satisfying all your needs? or
Is it jus smiling all the time? [implied from whenever anybody smiles people ask "why are u so happy?"]

Is happiness related to the happiness of your loved ones?
The one thing which is clear is that happiness cannot be bought and hence materialistic pleasure cannot equate to happiness
So then wats it to be happy??
all i can say is happiness can be found in small things in life.Be it jus quenching your thirst.I agree it brings you a sigh of relief and its that relief that will indeed make you smile!it is the feeling of content that makes you happy.
Is it when you get your dream job?
happiness is when you eat your fave bar of chocolate
It makes one feel happy when your teacher/boss recognises you by your name
Shopping makes everybody happy
Having a pleasant talk with your loved ones brings you a sense of happiness
An extra 100 buck in pocket money brings joy
Having a goal is itself a state of happiness.the goal can be as small as sleeping early
and getting up early next day!
The Pursuit of happiness can be defined by these petty things in life. What makes one happy is upto themselves.
Staying away from people who upset you is good enough to stay happy
Having a positive attitude, being optimistic ,honesty, being true to yourself are some of the things that can ward off negative vibes
so keep smiling and happiness will smile at you!
